PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE

The programme shall focus on providing adequate training, knowledge and skills to develop solution providers in the electrical and electronics engineering dynamic world and prepare graduates for progression to higher levels of study in their fields of specialization. Graduates of the program should be able to install, operate, service and maintain electrical installation systems and electronic equipment.

PROGRAMME GOAL

The goal of the programme is to equip students with the competencies required to plan, install, manage sites, test and commission, maintain and repair different types of electrical installations. The program is designed to ground the students on the installation types ranging from domestic, commercial, industrial, horticultural, agricultural electrical installations and also include generator, motor, water boiling, solar, HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning), IBMS (Integrated Building Management System), and security

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the general admission requirements into Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Zetech University, applicants must have a minimum of the following:

  • Be a holder of KCSE (or equivalent examination) certificate with a minimum aggregate of C-
  • A PASS in Zetech University Certificate.
  • Any other relevant qualifications approved by the Zetech University senate.

DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME

  • Three (3) Academic Years- SIX (6) semesters
  • TWO (2) industrial attachment

Addition a student will be required to undertake three non-credit units which will be certified by National Industrial Training Authority;

  • Electrical Wire Man, Grade I
  • Electrical Wire Man, Grade II
  • Electrical Wire Man, Grade III
